Say No
So I saw a news report the other day where an Iraqi man was talking about how his family was killed by violence in Iraq and how 'things were better before we came'. I then a list of our soldiers who had died that day. It made me sad. It is confusing and it depresses me to see all of the suits in Washington fighting as if this were a game. To them, it is a political platform. Nothing more. Sometimes I wish some of them would fight over in Iraq for a day. I have lost friends.
Lyrics:
Gripping story of a man
who lost a fight on foreign sand
where water's scarce to be found
to wash away the blood-stained ground
It getting hard to fight a war
when you don't know who you're dying for
Since the people firing guns of hate
are the same ones you're trying to "liberate"
Say no.
(Continued lyrics and streaming audio below the fold)
He could have been a man who cured
and healed the sick and wounded world
or fought to teach our youth or preach
or die at 92
A man on TV the other day said 'things were better
before we came'
It seems that all we do is die then kill and die and kill
then die.
Say no.

Hey dude. Don't know if you're still getting comments here, but I'll try anyway. Things are going well out here in Short Hills, NJ. Let me know what's happening in your neck of the woods.
