"Reminders of Light"
Story: So this song is one I started writing about a year ago...and well I performed it once and hated the outcome. It was just wasnt working for me. So I just picked it up again and decided to scrap the chorus I had and write something that...made more sense? As for the production, I went for something kinda circus-y and eerie. So...enjoy.

Two days ago I tried to swallow my soul
I tried to swallow my soul again
And yesterday I attempted to step on my shadow
I wanted to step on my shadow just once
But today I walked I preceded to watch
As my soul floated out to the ocean
And the sun fell down
And my shadow drowned in the bathtub
(Continued lyrics and streaming audio below the fold)
Just the other day I looked real hard for tomorrow
I looked all around for tomorrow
And once last week while I slept
I screamed out to hear silence
I thought I'd hear silence
As I waited for days the tomorrows all faded
And yesterday's all in the past
And out from the abyss the screams' echoes persisted
And nothing was nowhere around
But why do I still mourn for memories
When they've forgotten me
They say know where you've come from
But let it rest in peace
In a second I'll stop for the sunset
I will watch for the moment the sun goes down
And tonight I will want for the stars to shine
I will want for the stars to shine evermore
But in truth the sun leaves and it shines somewhere else
In its place comes the chill of the night
And the stars the we see died a long time ago
And are only reminders of light
But why do I still mourn for memories
When they've forgotten me
They say know where you've come from
But let it rest in peace

Wow, those are some great lyrics; I really like this song. I like your voice, very expressive.
Sorry for the comparison, but someone said beatle-ish - I'd say more Lennon-ish.
